Poplar and Oak Knitting Needles
We have a lot of fun looking through stuff we bring home and thinking, hmmm, what could we make from this? And after a big bag of wood beads showed up, we knew we just had to make knitting needles for our fiber friends. Half a day later, after talking to people who make arrow shafts and another that does clay tools, Valerie had created a working jig to sharpen the points and a method for adding the heads, and we've been making them ever since! size 15, 30, and 50 and a few in-betweens, all oak or poplar.
